Stephen Chanse is a North Carolina–based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist shaped by many genres, eras, and long miles between stages. His musical life began behind a drum kit, eventually pulling him toward songwriting, guitar, and a voice that learned how to carry a room—no matter the size.

The journey has moved through dimly lit dive bars with sticky floors and a handful of patrons, and onward to larger stages shared with traveling peer bands, where songs had to stand on their own in unfamiliar rooms. Each stop along the way left its mark.

What has remained consistent is a devotion to melody, meaningful lyrics, layered harmonies, and an ongoing evolution of sound and style—music built not for trends, but for people who listen closely.
